The “Asanas” helps us for a lubricating routine to the joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and increases circulation and flexibility. Performed slowly and consciously, they go far and beyond mere physical benefits, becoming a mental exercise in concentration and meditation. You will feel the difference.
PROPER BREATHING Pranayama
“Pranyama” means control of the “Prana”, the life source. This connects us to the battery, the solar plexus, where tremendous potential energy is stored. This energy can be released for physical and mental rejuvenation. At the beginning of every class we change to yoga breathing.
PROPER RELAXATION Savasana
Relaxation is Nature’s way of recharging the body. The classes are well balanced. We start with a active and passive relaxation in “Savasana” to prepare for the class. We are taking relaxing postures between the “Asanas” to cool down the system after heating it up. And the final relaxation helps you to relax body and mind.
POSITIVE THINKING, MEDITATION & MANTRAS
Observing and controlling of mind helps us to purify our thinking and doing. During the classes we concentrate on what we do and at that time, all worries and problems of the world disappear. This may be seen as preliminary to meditation. This state of calm is called “Yoga”. After every class we have a couple of minutes of silence to turn the mind’s concentration inward. Deepen that experience of perfect concentration, this is the state of “meditation”. I work a lot with Mantras and Kirtan in Meditation.
PROPER DIET Vegetarian Vegan
Optimum utilization of food, air, water and sunlight is essential. The yoga diet is a vegetarian one, consisting of pure, fresh, natural (preferably organic) foods which promote good health. Personally I am going complete vegan for ecological, economical, spiritual and healthy reasons.
